What is loaning and sharing?

Hi there!

Sorry for such a late post! This weeks post is all about ‘what is loaning and sharing?’ I know a lot of people don’t know the difference between the two and that is what this weeks post is all about! To start with I am going to talk about loaning.

What is loaning?

Loaning is when you look after a horse just as if you owned it! Loaning is the same s buying a horse the only difference is that the horse does not belong to you! You do still have to pay all the cost for this horse while you are loaning it!

What is sharing?

Sharing is when you share a horse with someone weather it’s with the owner or another person. You would usually share the chores and ride! You can even ride together!!

I really hope this helped make loaning and sharing more clear to you!

That’s all for now!

See you in my next blog!

Top Tip!

Hi There!

This week I have a top tip to help improve your sitting trot! A lot of the time when you are in sitting trot your bouncing around in the saddle (usually when you first start riding) and you just can’t seem to stay in the saddle, this tip should hopefully help you to keep your bum in that saddle! When your in sitting trot I find that most of the time you forget a lot about your feet but in actual fact your feet are really important if you want to improve your sitting trot! This is because if your heels aren’t down 1. you could loose your stirrups and 2. you will tense up which will cause you to be bouncing all over the place! So next time you try sitting trot be sure to push your heels down and relax letting the weight go down in to your heels which is really going to help you improve your sitting trot. Another way that I use is stirrup less! This is also really going to help as you really will be sitting that trot! This is because it will give you the feeling you want to feel when you have your, stirrups plus it can be a really fun exercise to do as it really tests your balancing skills!

These are just a couple of tips. Let me know what other tips you would like me to do in the comments or on my Instagram @theartofequineresolutions I just want to say I am not a professional and this may not work for you but it definitely worked for me so you can just give it a go and be sure to let me know how it went!

That’s all for now!

See you in my next blog!

Spending time with horses part 1

Hi there!

My first post is all about how to spend time with horses when you don’t own a horse. The first way you could spend time with horses is booking regular lessons and maybe before and after your lesson you could go give your fav horsie a cuddle! This is one really good way to spend time with horses, it really worked for me as I got to see the ponies lots!

Another way you can spend time with horses is volunteering or working at your local riding school or maybe some were that may need people to give them a hand. Some riding schools may not let you work or volunteer at your riding school but it’s worth asking as you never know they might just need you! I actually work at my riding school every week and I am really enjoying it and as it turns out I didn’t know weather they would need me but actually they did need me! But even if you can’t work then there may be a local place near by that are in need of your help as a volunteer. Some places may be some were like a disabled riding centre, they are usually in need of help! I also volunteer at a disabled riding centre and I know that they are always looking for more volunteers so this could be a great opportunity for you to get stuck in and involved.

These are only a couple of ideas and there will be more to come!

If you would like to contact me and ask me any questions, feel free to contact me via my Instagram @theartofequineresolutions or via my email that is on my contact page! and make sure to give my blog a follow to see updates on when I post!
